Will Kimbrough has something new on You Tube…It’s called lick of the Day
When speaking of The Seven Degrees of Jimmy Buffett, the name Bill Payne has to come up pretty fast.
The Little Feat Keyboardist and Jimmy go way back. A little over a year ago, I got to spend some time with Bill and the rest of the band when they were out playing a Coach House gig in Southern California. I had rented one of the three upstairs rooms overlooking the stage, and it just happened to be next to the Green Room. Bill, Paul and Sam spent a bit of the night hanging with us before they went on stage. Dude…It was Awesome!
Anyway, I don’t know how I found it, but I ran into theĀ Bill Payne Creative web site. Bill might possibly be a better photographer then a musician. Maybe…Kind of. Man, this Dude’s talent pool goes off the “Deep End” Charts. I’m going to be spending some more time reading and viewing the stuff available on the site, you ought to stop by and check it out for yourself too. Besides the great photography, there are some fantastic articles and stories that Bill has written.
Walked back to the Hotel to get my Meds at lunch, and was treated to this video of my friend Mac McAnally singing “Blame It On New Orleans.
Today is good already. Thanks Mac!
From the time LuLu’s opened as a small little restaurant on a pier I was drawn to the place. Unfortunately for me, I never made it to the original location. But I did end up there at it’s great new digs in the summer of 2005 when Barbara and I took our two oldest grand-daughters, Kirsten and Autumn on a Road Trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama.
If I ever get the time, I’d love to write a whole article why visiting LuLu’s had got to be on your “List of Things to Do Today.” Until then, enjoy this article on LuLu’s Restaurant and Jimmy’s Sister. And for God’s Sake, don’t wait for me write my article before going. Just this last November, I was there on a Solo Road Dawg Trip down to Gulf Shores to hear Will Kimbrough.
