CELEBRATE WHAT’S RIGHT IN THE WORLD

Back in the in about ’97 or ’98, I was in Key West for MOTM. It was late, and I had just experienced a wonderful day celebrating Friends & Music. I was just about ready to head back to our B & B, and was talking to Whit Procter, Founder of the Raleigh PHC, in the Margaritaville Cafe, when he grabbed me by the elbow and said, “Wait, there’s someone I want you to meet.” It was Hugo Duarte.

Living on opposite coasts, Hugo and I haven’t been able to see each other often enough, but when we have managed to get together, those times have been memorable. We call each other from time to time, and I have some great Hugo stories I’d love to share sometime. But this Blog entry is just to share with you another reason why I know Hugo to be a mystical human being.

Today on Facebook, Hugo shared a great video with his friends. It was entitled “Celebrate What’s Right In The World.” A twenty minute video by a National Geographic Photographer named Dewitt Jones. And if you take the time to watch this video, you will forever be changed. I was….

Thanks Hugo… Ride that Possibility Wave. I look forward to seeing you grow as a photographer yourself. You my Friend…are one of the things that is Right  in the World.
